This is the dilemma that any visitor to Chicago has to wrestle with.

My father was an architect and I was going to follow in his footsteps until I fell in love with theatre. So, when we got to Chicago it was the architecture as much as the pizza that grabbed my attention. We did a guided tour of the city’s great buildings and I was reminded of my father – how much I loved watching him at his drawing board and his legacy of beautiful buildings that make people’s lives better.

Theatre or architecture? Deep dish or thin crust?

There’s a place in my heart for both.”
